Andy Troszok is a registered pharmacist with the Alberta
College of Pharmacists and the president of both Extended
Care Pharmacy Ltd. and the Canadian International Pharmacy Association
(CIPA). Over the past three years, Andy has dedicated his
work to lobby both U.S. and Canadian governments to allow
American patients the right to purchase chronic maintenance
medications from Canada. His work has provided thousands
of American citizens the option to purchase affordable life
saving medications. The following demonstrates Andy’s
commitment to allowing U.S. patients to re-import life saving
medications from Canada:
- Testified before the U.S. congress on two occasions
regarding the safety of Canadian medications.
- Performed media interviews with major U.S. and Canadian
newspapers and television stations.
- Worked closely with U.S. congressmen to develop legislation
to legalize the re-importation of Canadian medications.
- Presented at the American Association of Retired Persons
(AARP) annual conference on the safety of Canadian medications.
Discussing the necessary steps U.S. patients need to take
to assure they are dealing with a legitimate Canadian
Pharmacy.
- Presented to U.S. unions and insurance companies on
how to implement a Canadian pharmacy option to their clients.
- Testified at the Governors Summit on the safety of
Canadian medications and the similarities and collaborative
efforts between Health Canada and the Federal Drug Administration
(FDA).
- Advised the current U.S. administration and Senate
offices on a sustainable and effective legalized bill
for the re-importation of Canadian medications.
